The Stress Test - Format

5 contestants, 5 rounds of questions.  The more questions they get right, the greater the prize money for one of them to win at the end of the game.

However, as each round progresses, so the contestants are being put under increasingly stressful situations- be it mental, physical or psychological! So it's not just an issue of whether they are smart enough to know the answers, it's whether they can stay focused enough to answer them! Maybe we’ll play on a known fear or come up with something totally new – either way they’re going to remember they’ve been on The Stress Test!

As a 60 minute primetime studio show, The Stress Test starts with 5 contestants in Round 1. They must answer the same 5 questions while being placed under mild duress. The  contestant with the least correct answers is then eliminated from the game.

As each round is played out and the contestants are whittled down, so the value of each correct answer given by all the contestants increases; from £1000 a question in Round 1 to £4000 a question in Round 4.

The gutsy contestant that reaches the final round will then play for the total money pool generated from all the correct answers given during the game.

He will face a maximum of 10 questions and must attempt to answer as many questions consecutively right in order to win more of more of the cash pool. However, the questions will get harder, the external pressure on him will get more extreme and if he gets one answer wrong, he goes all the way back to the bottom of the cash ladder again. Will be leave at the right time without getting greedy?

So who can successfully answer questions while in a bath of freezing cold water, hanging upside down in a pit of cockroaches, or while 3 ex- girlfriends tell your wife embarrassing stories of your past exploits!

The Stress Test is also perfect as an on- location gameshow. Imagine trying to answer questions while whizzing around Gravity machine, while Sebastian Lobe drives you around Rally course, or as you slowly step closer to the edge of the Grand Canyon?
